Located in the Paso Robles AVA, Law Family Vineyards sits at 1800 feet of elevation, higher than most vineyards in the area. This gives Law Estate distinct microclimates in an appellation already known to have a greater day-to-night temperature swing than any other in California. Calcareous soils with high lime content make these vineyards the best of the best. John Crossland at Vineyard Professional Services, with input from the Laws and winemaker Scott Hawley, designed and planted the thirty-two acres of Rhone varietals in 2008. Eighty percent of the vineyard is planted in multiple clones of Grenache and Syrah with smaller blocks of Mourvedre, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Carignane and Tempranillo. Sustainable farming with minimal applications results in premium fruit.

JEB DUNNUCK 97 POINTS - "Made from 88% Grenache and 12% Syrah, the 2023 Beguiling was fermented in concrete with 6% whole clusters and aged 19 months in 85% French oak (44% new), 10% foudre, and 5% concrete egg. Deep ruby and almost opaque, it offers ripe red fruits, pepper, herbes de Provence, and sandalwood nuances. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, it has ripe tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish. This outstanding red will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and evolve for 15+ years. Drink 2027-2042."

ANTONIO GALLONI'S VINOUS MEDIA 94 POINTS - "The 2023 Beguiling bursts from the glass with a vibrant wave of crushed raspberry, blueberry, confectionery spices and dusty dried sage. It impresses further with its seamlessly silken character as depths of ripe wild berry fruits flow beneath an air of violet pastille, further enhanced by a licorice tinge toward the close. This maintains fantastic freshness through the long, staining finish, as ripe blackberry and lavender tones linger."
