We were sure somebody made a mistake…so much so, that we questioned whether or not this wine would actually be delivered to us at the quoted price. But we were assured there would be no "take backs," and this incredible wine would show up at our doorsteps at an unbelievable price. And how, it's finally here, and we can offer a 96-point Pinot Noir, from one of Oregon's more revered vineyards, at a 60% discount!

Founded in 2014, Lavinea is committed to becoming a benchmark producer of wines of place in the Willamette Valley, crafting wines that represent the purest voice of site-specific terroir from each of their vineyards.

Winemaker Isabelle Meunier cut her "winemaking teeth" in Burgundy, under the watch of fellow French-Canadian Pascal Marchand at Domaine de la Vougeraie, and at New Zealand's Felton Road. Marchand recommended her to Dominique Lafon to oversee winemaking at his then-new Oregon consulting project, Evening Land, in 2007. Isabelle quickly became one of Oregon's most acclaimed winemakers. Her wines were selected for the Wine Spectator Top 100 wines of the Year from 2009 through 2015, including producing the highest rated Oregon Pinot Noir and highest rated Oregon Chardonnay ever, culminating in Wine Spectator recognizing her 2012 'La Source' Pinot Noir as the #3 wine in the world in 2015.

Co-Founder Greg Ralston worked for over 25 years to provide valued guidance and leadership to wine producers who possess profound respect for terroir and are benchmarks in their regions. From Chateau Montelena Winery, to working at Wilson Daniels and their prestigious estates, such as Castello di Volpaia, Ceretto, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, Leflaive, and Schramsberg, Greg has helped great wineries continue to be benchmarks of their regions.

Perched at very high elevation in the southwestern Eola-Amity Hills AVA, overlooking the Van Duzer Corridor, Temperance Hill is truly on the fringe of grape growing boundaries. This vineyard was first planted in 1981 by the Koo family on what is believed to be the remnants of an ancient volcano. Dai Crisp, one of the pioneers of organic grape growing in the Willamette Valley took over management in 1999 and began farming it in accordance with Oregon Tilth Organic Certification standards. The berries produced here tend to be on the small side, resulting in great concentration and structure. The cool evening winds promotes a long ripening season with slow flavor development and perfect acid balance.

And the vintage?...2022 was nothing less than brilliant. The Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs offer generous concentration, the tannins are supple and voluptuous, yet with wonderful acid lift to carry them through the palate with love textures and good tension. It's a vintage that you can either drink today, or cellars for a decade!

Wine critic Audrey Frick, who writes for the noteworthy JebDunnuck.com, garnered this wine with a fantastic 96-point score! She proclaims the wine is "layered and beautiful", along with "notes of wild herbs, ripe raspberries, sunny but bright fruit". This is a wine whose retail price is typically $77.00 per bottle, and for a 96-point score, that price is fair. But until we run out of stock, you can get this jewel for only $29.95, which is over 60% off the retail price!

Pinot Noirs with this regal score don't typically sell for this "everyday Joe" price, so buy up before the bean counters realize their mistake!

JEB DUNNUCK 96 POINTS - "Displaying a jeweled red hue, the 2022 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vineyard is very layered and beautiful, offering striking clarity in its notes of wild herbs, ripe raspberries, sunny but bright fruit, and fresh rosemary. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and has wonderful balance and a harmonious feel. Highly appealing now, with a light, juicy feel throughout the palate, it’s long and elegant and is only going to improve in another few years."
