Arnaud Lambert has quietly become a leading vigneron in the iconic wine region of Saumur-Champigny. His home, many of his vineyards and the focus of much of his passion is the tiny hamlet of Brezé (so tiny that it was recently combined with 2 nearby villages to make a single commune), a few miles south of Saumur. The distinct limestone subsoils here have for centuries been known for producing exquisite wines from the local Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc varieties.
This top tier parcel faces east and has a higher proportion of clay in the classic limestone of the village. Aged for 24 months in barriques (20% new) and another 6 plus months in bottle before release. Definitely a cellar worthy Chenin.
