WINEMAKER NOTES - "The 2022 Pirate is deep ruby in color, with enticing aromas of blackberry pie, black cherry and plum, with a touch of earthiness. Black fruit driven with some toasty french oak enhancements and nice layering of the blend components. Flavors are big and bold – dense blackberry-type fruit and some savory notes across the palate reminiscent of a GSM blend, with hints of chinese 5-spice, cranberry, and a touch of vanilla. Really nice length and balance in this fun red blend. This vintage is a blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. "
