A dry ouzo from the Kardasi family distillery of Tyrnavos, Thessaly — a family recipe held since 1914, when grandfathers Konstantinos and Evangelos Kardasi first experimented with aromatic seeds and herbs. Distilled slowly in a small copper pot still crafted by Greek artisans in Istanbul, from a grape distillate (tsipouro) base and 16 herbs, fruits, and seeds — including anise, cinnamon, bitter almond, nutmeg, and mastic — with no added sugar or sweeteners: all natural sweetness comes from the botanicals themselves, making the Golden Recipe a true dry ouzo.
Palate: Soft and characteristic — intense anise with warm spice, balanced by the natural sweetness of the herbs.
Serve: With cold water and ice, alongside meze.
ABV: 40% (80 Proof)
