JAMESON CRESTED 40% 700ML IRISH WHISKEY

Previously marketed under the name Crested Ten - a confusing misnomer as this particular release isn't 10 years old - the recently rebranded and internationally remarketed Jameson Crested Blended Irish Whiskey pays homage to the first days of Jameson bottling their own whiskey, way back in the 1960s. First launched in 1963, Jameson Crested is prized for having a rather healthy portion of pot still distillate along with single-grain Irish whiskey in the blend. Aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, this NAS dram is matured for at least 3 years and is finished at 40% ABV. The nose features sticky caramel, butter, rich sherry, and orchard strawberries macerated with banana and cream. The palate is rife with more rivers of sherry, strawberries, cream, and hints of honey, spice, and minerals. Sublimely crafted and entirely too quaffable - Jameson Crested is a fruity-finished fine Irish whiskey from nose to sip to the last dregs in the glass!
