Once in a while, we get offered a barrel selection from another store. If it’s good, we take it. This was very good so we took it! Generous notes of honey, citrus, vanilla, treacle and oak in the nose. The palate is loaded with brown spices, reiterated honey, caramel, more oak, background hints of tropical fruits, soft layers of agave, mineral. The finish is lengthy and luscious. This is 100% Blue Agave Tequla aged 11 months in lightly charred oak barrels then matured for an additonal month in a virgin toasted oak barrel.
