A legendary, discontinued tier of Hennessy cognac positioned between V.S.O.P and X.O, from a golden era of the House's craft. Hennessy's "Napoleon" designation set the standard for this now-iconic classification — a blend of select eaux-de-vie from Cognac's most prestigious crus (Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois), aged for decades in French Limousin oak casks and meticulously blended by the Master Blenders of the Fillioux family. Founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy, an Irish officer in the service of Louis XV, the House's imperial connections date to 1818, when Empress Maria Feodorovna requested "the most exceptional cognac" as a birthday gift for her son, Tsar Alexander I.

Color: Deep amber to rich copper, reflecting decades of patient maturation in fine oak.

Nose: Profound and layered — dried fig and spiced oak foremost, with orange peel and subtle floral undertones.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied, revealing successive waves of honey, walnut, and warm spice, balanced by soft vanilla and roasted fruit notes.

Finish: Long and distinguished, with lingering impressions of toffee, nutmeg, and aged oak that fade slowly and elegantly.

Now discontinued and highly sought by connoisseurs and collectors, this 1970s expression offers a rare window into Hennessy's craft during a golden era of cognac refinement.

ABV: 40% (80 Proof)
