The second edition of Heaven Hill Grain to Glass Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon Whiskey was aged for six years at Cox’s Creek, in rickhouses W5 and W6 on the third, fourth and fifth floors. It was bottled at barrel proof without chill filtration at 106.6 proof.
Heaven Hill Grain to Glass represents their long-standing commitment to craft, transparency and quality. Each year, they select a specific corn seed varietal, which is proudly displayed on the label alongside the unique mashbill. The corn seed varietal chosen for the second edition was Beck’s 6225.
Taste: Notes of butterscotch, caramel and cardamom-spiced apple pie, with a rich and viscous mouthfeel.
Finish: Vanilla ice cream on top of warm apple pie lingers on the palate, giving way to rye and ginger spices
