Coonawarra experienced a good vintage in 2013, with fine weather continuing throughout autumn and providing excellent conditions for slow ripening and a relatively leisurely harvest. With fruit from several vineyards, this is a truly regional wine reflecting the essence of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. It benefits from the added concentration and complexity of fruit from mature vines aged between 20 and 50 years. The fruit was picked in mid-late April and then fermented in overhead fermenters. The wine was matured in French and American hogsheads for 15 months.
