We just made a special purchase of a small quantity of the fantastic 2019 Guigal Chateauneuf du Pape. This is a great example of the classic Rhone blend from an excellent producer. This 2019 is in the perfect spot for drinking now or over the next several years. This wine is full-bodied, generous, and filled with concentrated, lush fruit and baking spices.

Due to a change in distribution, we were able to grab this delicious Chateauneuf at very favorable pricing, which allowed us to pass on the savings. The regular price was $49.99, but we are now able to offer this delicious wine at $34.99 per bottle!

Jeb Dunnuck gave this wine a score of 94 Points saying, " I love it today, yet it has the balance as well as structure to evolve for 10-15 years. It's up with the finest vintages of this cuvée I've ever tasted."

James Suckling also gave this wine 94 Points stating, "This a serious Chateauneuf that has plenty of black fruit appeal."

Guigal is a historic producer from the Rhone Valley and is best known for their Cote Rotie bottlings of La Landonne, La Mouline and La Turque. With holdings in both the north and southern Rhone, Guigal is well known for their consistent quality across many appellations.

The Guigal domain was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis; a small, ancient village at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The domaine is situated above unique vineyards where vines and wine have been celebrated for over 2,400 years.

The terroir for this Chateauneuf du Pape is comprised of round pebbles and red clay situated on hillsides. After harvest and fermentation, the wine is aged in large oak barrels. Comprised of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah with the other 5% composed of permitted Chateauneuf varietals.

This delicious, full-bodied treat is a great wine to enjoy with friends and family at an amazing price. There is limited quantity, when it's gone it's gone!

JEB DUNNUCK 94 POINTS - "Darker berries, raspberries, peppery garrigue, and licorice all emerge from Guigal's 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape, a medium to full-bodied, round, concentrated 2019 that has the vintage's expressive, classic style front and center. I love it today, yet it has the balance as well as structure to evolve for 10-15 years. It's up with the finest vintages of this cuvée I've ever tasted."

JAMES SUCKLING 94 POINTS - "Spicy and meaty with a very solid tannic base, this a serious Chateauneuf that has plenty of black fruit appeal, but also the muscular structure for long aging. Firm and focused finish with lots of energy and drive for this vintage. Drink or hold."
