This is an easy-to-like Barbera from a historic area for the variety: the hills surrounding the town of Nizza Monferrato. Aged for 2 years in small French oak barrels for a darker aromatic tone and a light infusion of richness, this medium-bodied Barbera has a soft & rounded entry that's driven by a beam of acidity into a lightly pithy and tangy blue-fruited finish. Polished-edged, gently drying tannins frame everything. It's delicious with a wide variety of moderately rich dishes, roasted vegetables, pizzas, or simply some cheeses and cured meats!

WINE ENTHUSIAST 93 POINTS - "This wine slowly reveals itself and with time, dark-skinned fruits such as mulberry emerge on the nose, accompanied by subtle leafy and savory undertones. While the fruit flavors on the palate lean toward the tart blue and purple end of the spectrum, the wine's complexity and evolving nature make it a compelling choice for those seeking a more contemplative and engaging wine that ebbs and flows in the glass." — Jeff Porter
