Melkon and Litty get laughing cramps as they remember all the crazy things they did the first year. Looking at spaces without plumbing (duh). Buying the wrong equipment. Spilling the entire first batch on the floor. But they couldn’t have gotten where they are without tripping down that path and making those mistakes. They both learned distilling through trial and error. More than a decade of experience can teach you a lot, but you have to be willing to learn. Like life, the decisions they made along the way created the distillery they run today.
