DECANTER 90 POINTS - "This non-vintage pink fizz is made by the Champagne method (referred to as 'Methode Cap Classique' in South Africa), by respected Robertson producer Graham Beck. It's not hugely complex, and while 7.5g/L residual sugar is standard for a Brut style fizz and less than most Proseccos, it's definitely discernible here, so not one for those who prefer their fizz bone-dry. That said, there's a lot to like here, including an attractive pale pink hue in the glass, lively, clean and crisp red berry fruit aromas and flavours, and a hint of pink grapefruit. Fresh and fruit-forward, with a subtle hint of yeastiness from time on lees."
A non-vintage rosé sparkling wine blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 49% Chardonnay, and 1% Meunier from Western Cape, South Africa. The Graham Beck Brut Rosé opens with a pleasing aroma full of berry fruit, a bit of strawberry cream and a touch of fresh baked bread.
WINERY NOTES "This wine has a unique pale silver-pink hue. Aromas of raspberries, cherries and a few secondary whiffs of minerality. A lively mousse, but fine in the mouth, with subtle red berry flavours enlivened by bright acidity. Brisk, yet delicate on the palate, bursting with flavours of freshly crushed berries and hints of oyster shell. Flirtatious and fun, yet elegant and structured, it’s perfect for all seasons and settings."
