GILLIARD 2022 DOLE DES MONTS SWISS RED SWITZERLAND

Dark, garnet red in the glass, this Gamay and Pinot Noir blend has a light fragrance of ripe strawberries, and raspberries. In the mouth the attack is fruity, with well-blended tannins, silky and of great softness. Perfect with grilled and roasted meat, pork, veal, ripened cheese, and red sauces. Dole is one of the few types of red wines coming out of Switzerland. This is mostly Pinot Noir and the rest Gamay. Full of game, iron-rich minerals and dark cherries on the palate. This would be a fantastic wine to drink alongside a roasted duck dish.
