DECANTER 95 POINTS - "The 2023 Folatières from Génot-Boulanger is marvellous. Slightly restrained on the initial attack, it opens up on the palate with lemon peel, pear and gooseberry aromas, plus a hint of smoky reduction. The texture has heft and flesh, but also a lively acidity to drive the wine to a lingering finish. The grapes are from 0.33ha in Au Chaniot near Le Caillerets; they were crushed and fermented in mostly used casks. This will open in five to seven years and drink for 25 beyond that."
