A blend of two distinct 14-year aged Single Blended Molasses Rums coming from the double-retort pot still and twin column Coffey Still of Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. One rum was aged for 14 years entirely in Ex-Bourbon Barrels, and the other was aged for 14 years entirely in Ex-Madeira Casks.
Nose - Core notes of Foursquare Rum - vanilla, toasted coconut, fresh berries, but quickly evolves into rich pipe tobacco, bergamot, and subtle nutty and oxidative characteristics.
Palate - Rich, complex, and robust. Caramelized grapefruit peel, roasted macadamia nuts, blackberry cobbler and pineapple undertones give way to a rich and chewy mouthfeel - reminiscent of taffy and salted caramel. The caramel in particular is rich and deep, leaning into toffee sweetness.
