The estate is managed by Laurent Fournier, who took over in the early 2000s. He has led a strong commitment to quality and sustainability by converting the estate to organic farming (certified since 2008).
The name "longe-raies" is referring to the ploughing on the hillside. This wine is dense and full-bodied, with fine tannins, classic liquorice and black fruit notes and an earthy character that reminds of the great wines of Gevrey-Chambertin.
