WINE ADVOCATE 97 POINTS - "The organic Fontodi 2023 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Panzano Vigna del Sorbo is lovely, generous and full, with intense cherry and cassis on full display in this exuberant vintage. There is terrific intensity in the mouth, with a seamless quality that brings together structure, concentration and beautiful fruit-forward appeal. I love the generous nature of this wine. Made with selected 100% Sangiovese from a nine-hectare vineyard at 380 meters in elevation on schistic galestro soils, it ferments in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and ages for 24 months in French oak barriques and larger casks. Some 25,000 bottles were made." - Monica Larner

JAMES SUCKLING 96 POINTs - "A complex and layered wine with aromas of graphite, minerals, vibrant red and black cherries, fresh violets and hints of wax and bark. Medium- to full-bodied and refreshing, with a huge tannic structure that’s velvety and refined. Crisp, integrated acidity and a biting palate are well balanced by fruit and meat flavors. Drinkable now, but best from 2027." - Aldo Fiordelli
