TIM ATKIN 96 POINTS: "This is quite the package with its bold, über-fragrant nose of baked apple generosity elegantly accented by a halo of brown spice. Initially broad and powerful on the attack, an assertive and racy acidity transforms the mouthfeel. The smashed orchard fruits, dried bouquet and wet stone notes head into the long, vigorous and refreshing finish. It is a rather crunchy style of Bâtard and an excellent showing for these vines planted across a 50-year span from the 1930s to the 1980s."
