BURGHOUND 91 POINTS - 'This lovely and understated effort is coming along nice with its attractively spicy and lightly earthy mix of maturing red and blue pinot fruit plus lovely floral aromas, in particular violets. There is very good punch to the appealing textured and solidly powerful middle weight flavors that are still sufficiently structured on the sneaky long, delicious and complex finale to warrant another 3 to 5 years of keeping. This isn't robust (Damodes almost never is) but it's clear that this was made in the old Faiveley style favoring more extraction over less and as such, the extra cellaring should prove beneficial."
