DOS MADERAS P.X. 5+5 RUM 750ML

This wonderful rum begins as rum aged for 5 years in Barbados and Guyana. Then the rums move to the Jerez, Spain for a 'secondary' aging in Sherry barrels that also last's 5 year (5+5 . . .). The second '5 years' is broken into 3 years in "Dos Cortados" Palo Cortado sherry and followed by 2 years in "Don Guido" Pedro Ximénez sherry (PX). The final results are beguiling. Intricate aromas filled with molasses, baking spice, caramel, sherry and Jamaican/ Custard Bread Pudding. The flavors show ebullient caramelized honey, raisins, plums and brown figs evolving to a fervor displaying recherché nuances of cocoa, tea and vanilla. The finish lingers sumptuously rewarding you with an aftertaste of the Jamaican/ Custard Bread Pudding and an invitation for more.
