Domaine Laguille is a specialist producer of Single Estate Armagnacs. Colette and Guy Vignoli, 3rd generation of winegrowers, decided in the late 80’s to buy their own traditional Armagnac alembic to be capable of controlling all the steps from the vineyard to the bottle. Constantly trying to improve their methods and facilities, Domaine Laguille crafts Armagnacs that reflect the unique terroir of the Gascony region, the selected grape varieties, and the character and style of the estate.
Tasting Notes: Nice amber color. Powerful nose of prunes, with a wealth of concentrated aromas, with the suggestion of freshly made toast and a hint of gingerbread. The mouth is round and gentle with a hint of macerated stone fruit after taste.
An exceptional XO Armagnac from the family-owned Domaine Laguille estate in Bas-Armagnac, Gascogne. A blend of old Armagnacs with a cepage of 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Baco. Beautiful amber in colour with aromas of hot bread and a hint of gingerbread. The palate combines flavours of prunes, orange peel, and pecans with the finish discovering macerated stone fruit notes. Classical aromas of dried plums, rich oak spice, and gentle oak — the hallmark of this traditional style. Quite fiery with a pleasing tannic grip. A single estate Armagnac, sustainably made.
