100% Chardonnay from a number of small parcels scattered around the Côte des Blancs villages of Cuis and Chouilly. 70% of this bottling is from 2020 the base vintage vinified in stainless steel with the remainder drawn from the firm's perpetual reserve. Dosage is under 1g/l. and this bracing Champagne has been aptly called Adrien's most "fine-boned" cuvée. Bottled March 2021 and disgorged in October 2023.
WINE ADVOCATE 94+ POINTS -The NV Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Les Terres Fines (2020) has turned out brilliantly, wafting from the glass with aromas of citrus oil, apple blossom, crisp stone fruit and buttery pastry, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and chiseled palate that's layered and concentrated, with lovely tension and a bright, saline finish."
The Dhont-Grellet Champagnes first came up on our radar when Adrien Dhont was voted Winemaker of the Year in 2017 at the prestigious Trophées Champenois competition sponsored by Bulles & Millésime Magazine. Grellet is a leader of the young, upcoming corps of Champagne winegrowers, who showcase their terroir through the diligent application of Burgundian and natural winemaking practices."
