Depaz rums owe their originality to several factors: the quality of the cane grown on land once devastated by the eruption of Mount Pelée, and today of great fertility; pure and very abundant water; and, symbol of a faithfully respected tradition, an impressive and very old steam engine that provides all the necessary energy. Colour The colour of this Depaz Grande Réserve XO rum is golden almond, deep tan. Nose The nose of this aged rum is endowed with a complex aromatic richness. Spices, chocolate, date, rose, liquorice, prune, vanilla and sweet woodiness merge into a very successful blend. This Depaz rum is of great finesse which translates its aromas that are both sweet and powerful. Palate The same aromas are found in the mouth as on the nose. Good roundness, very pleasant on the finish. Grande Réserve XO Depaz over-aged rum is a very fine rum, imbued with great distinction.
