The Diver is the sparkling wine project of Days of Youth Wines, produced by Folktale Winery in Carmel, California. Days of Youth is a production that feels genuinely charming rather than manufactured. Started by mother and daughter Madigan and Abigail Ahn, the brand is built on making wines that are delicious, approachable, and aren't reserved for a singular occasion, they're for any occasion. Madigan and Abigail place a strong emphasis on sustainable farming, minimal intervention, and ethical business practices.
A portion of the net profits made by Days of Youth is donated directly to organizations helping at-risk youth and kids in need.
The Rose is more than "it's pink", it shares the same energy as the Brut but shows up with a vibe that is flirtier and sassier thanks to the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The glass bursts with aromas of crushed red berries and honeysuckle which leads into flavors of strawberry cream cake (interestingly it has the same texture of that), bing cherries and ripe kiwis. It is all backed by a creamy and addicting effervescence. Just like the Brut, this wine pairs well with a variety of foods whether it be fruit and charcuterie, some late-night Taco Bell, or poke bowls. We also suggest pairing this wine with a viewing of Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. It may sound strange, but the pink bubbly fits the vibe of the film.
