In the village of Trépail, on the eastern side of the Montagne de Reims, David Léclapart crafts pure, uncompromising Champagnes made from biodynamically grown grapes. This edition is a mix of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, 100% vinified in used Leflaive barrels and drawn from all of the house's cuvées. This displays a brilliant pale yellow hue followed by a very inviting nose featuring aromas of sweet-ripe citrus fruits, peach and red berries backed with notes of roasted nuts and bruised red apples. The palate is highly complex showing citrus spice and profound minerality with a lot of tension as well as great length and grace.

WINE SPECTATOR 92 POINTS - "A chiseled Champagne that finds fine balance, with a firm backbone of acidity well-knit to the lacy mousse and mouthwatering favors of poached quince, juicy white cherry, grated ginger and toast. The long finish offers refreshing chalky mineral and lemon notes. Drink now... 180 cases made; 15 cases imported."
