In the village of Trépail, on the eastern side of the Montagne de Reims, David Léclapart crafts pure, uncompromising Champagnes made from biodynamically grown grapes. This edition is a mix of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, 100% vinified in used Leflaive barrels and drawn from all of the house's cuvées. This displays a brilliant pale yellow hue followed by a very inviting nose featuring aromas of sweet-ripe citrus fruits, peach and red berries backed with notes of roasted nuts and bruised red apples. The palate is highly complex showing citrus spice and profound minerality with a lot of tension as well as great length and grace.
