WINE ADVOCATE - 99 POINTS This medium-dry NV Dassai Migaki Sonosakie Junmai Daiginjo should be the iconic sake not only of the Asahi Shuzo but also the whole export market. The literal meaning of the label is “pioneer,” or more accurately, “beyond.” It is a masterpiece, with every aspect showing excellence. The elegant and complex floral and fruity notes, with a hint of hot steamed rice, establish a pure and beautiful sensation. Perfectly balanced, it has a delicate and marvelous touch on the palate. The light but lingering finish brings out a super clean aftertaste. This is a real sample of a master craftsman! Rice: Yamada Nishiki. Alcohol: 16%.
