This is the super limited bottling of Dassai Umeshu (Plum Sake), that Dassai makes only once a year. Using top grade Nanko Ume, the best quality plums found in Japan. The fresh plums are soaked in Dassai 23 for 6 months. The result is overwhemlingly delectable sake. This sake is medium-sweet, with a beautiful brightness. The texture is lightly luscious, with notes of hibiscus, cherry, persimmon, apricot and plum that radiates on the palate. Very floral and delicate. Once the bottle is opened, it will last up to 2 weeks with refrigeration. This is a great gift for lovers of Sauternes and Tokaji. We loved last year's bottling of Dassai Umeshu, and we love this one even more!
