A single-vintage Bas-Armagnac from the Domaine de Rieston in Cravancères, distilled in 1997. 100% Baco grape variety. Gold color with darker tints. The nose is typical of a Bas Armagnac made with Baco grapes: prune, licorice, dried raisin and apricot, leather, brown tobacco, and cloves. Complex on the nose. On the palate, the tannins make their presence felt, but gently so, while the alcohol is smooth. The aromas on the nose reappear on the palate — roast walnuts, apricots, prunes, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and toasted oak. Long finish with toasted oak notes that linger. Bottled May 2022 at 25 years old.
