The first iteration in a 3-part series of highly-anticipated whiskies, the 2022 Luminary No. 1 is a marvelously crafted 15 year old single malt featuring the collaborative efforts of Dundee's V & A museum and the expertise of legacy luminaries in the whisky and architectural industries. As the first offering, this ultra-premium whisky showcases the artistry of Maurizio Mucciola, a student of renowned architect Kengo Kuma, and the whisky-making mastery of Gregg Glass. Bottled at 46.8% ABV (93.6-proof) and available in an outrun of just 15,000 bottles, the Dalmore 2022 Luminary No. 1 Single Malt 15 is first matured in American oak, then finished in rare Italian Amarone ex-red wine casks and distinct Kintsugi casks produced from a hand-selection of Scottish Tay oak, Mizunara, and American white oak.
