Separate lots are aged from 18 to 24 months in Slavonian or French oak barrels of various types.
Not many families can boast they have done anything for 19 generations...Since 1340, the Cordero di Montezemolos have been passionately cultivating the Monfalletto property in the town of La Morra, a historical and very rare single-body 69-acre vineyard that covers both sides of the hill. This affords the family the luxury of selecting the best local varieties according to sun exposure, soil type and altitude.
Today, Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo and his children Elena and Alberto are the benefactors of this great estate. Together they are combining their family's tradition and heritage with biodiversity and organic practices to preserve the land for generations to come and enhance the quality of what's inside the bottle. The historic wine of the winery coming from the carefully selected blend of the Monfalletto estate vineyards. Age of the vines are between 15 to 50 years, all facing Southeast and Southwest giving the grapes all the best the sun has to offer for perfect ripeness.
