A fruit liqueur from Clear Creek Distillery — founded in Portland, Oregon in 1985 by Steve McCarthy, whose family had owned Oregon orchards since the turn of the century; after traveling in Europe, McCarthy set out to make fruit brandies that could rival the Old World's, and the distillery (now part of Hood River Distillers, based in Hood River, Oregon) remains a benchmark of American eau-de-vie. Perfectly ripe Oregon raspberries are macerated in the house's own fruit brandy and lightly sweetened — no artificial flavors or colors.
Nose: Pure, fresh, fragrant, and juicy raspberry.
Palate: Strong, fresh red raspberry — jammy, aromatic, and distinctly brambly, with a perfect balance of tart and sweet.
Finish: Clean and enduring, lightly sweet.
Serve: Over ice, in sparkling wine, or wherever a true raspberry note is needed.
ABV: 20% (40 Proof)
