An unaged eau de vie from Clear Creek Distillery in Oregon, distilled from Williams (Bartlett) pears. Approximately 20 pounds of pears go into every 750ml bottle, yielding a distillate of uncommon concentration and purity. Pears are sourced from orchards in the Hood River Valley, crushed, fermented, and distilled in German-made copper pot stills using traditional Alsatian and Swiss techniques. Intense burst of ripe Bartlett pear on the nose with subtle green melon and buttery notes. Silky and round on the palate with immediate pear essence, dry rather than sweet, with fresh-cut pear and a light peppery bite. Clean finish with warm floral accents.
