We just received the 2019 Chateau Belle Vue which has been a customer favorite over the years.

If Chateau Belle-Vue isn't on your radar, it should be! We (happily) taste a lot of wine in the course of sourcing the best for Hi-Time and reject thousands of offerings that don't make the cut. The 2019 Belle-Vue was immediately appealing and we lingered over this bottle and enjoyed more than one sample in the arduous and noble pursuit of further research.

This ready to drink Bordeaux is showing aromas of violets, black currants, blackberries and dark cherries. Subtle notes of vanilla, baking spice and earth added interest. On the palate, this wine is on the richer side of things, full-bodied and oh so silky smooth.

The quality of this wine is impressive and totally over-delivers for its humble price-point.

Decanter Magazine awarded Belle-Vue 93 Points stating, "this is extremely sleek, elegant and well made."

Noted critic Jeb Dunnuck awarded this wine 92 Points stating Belle-Vue is "Rock star stuff readers should snatch up" as it has,"velvety tannins, remarkable balance, and a great finish."

Chateau Belle-Vue was designated Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel which is the highest tier of the official Cru Bourgeois Classification for red wines from the Médoc region in Bordeaux, France. This designation is deserved as the quality is undeniable.

In fact, this wine tastes like a very good Margaux and is located a stone's throw away from the Margaux classified growth, Chateau Giscours.

This rich, juicy, crowd-pleasing wine will impress those who are not easily impressed. Even better, we bought everything they had and are selling it at the best price in the nation!

The quality to price ratio for this wine is off the charts and makes this an absolute no brainer.

DECANTER 93 POINTS - "Deep purple colour, medium to full intensity, and a feeling of confident tannic hold from the off. Such an impressive run of vintages at this Haut-Médoc property that has just been named Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. The spice that Petit Verdot adds is clear, alongside well-brushed tannins, striking aromatics of brambly fruits. Not as luxuriously textured as in 2018 but in its place is a more serious outlook, and this is extremely sleek, elegant and well made."

JEB DUNNUCK 92 POINTS - "Rock star stuff readers should snatch up, the deep ruby/purple-hued 2019 Château Belle-Vue gives up a gorgeous bouquet of ripe currants, black cherries, tobacco, and cedar pencil. This carries to a medium to full-bodied, round, supple, elegant Haut-Médoc with velvety tannins, remarkable balance, and a great finish. It's a gorgeous bottle of wine that will keep for over a decade."
