The great value comes from the small island of Ischia off the coast of Naples. Pale yellow with green glints show the freshness of youth. Aromas of herbs, wet stones, hints of apple and white peach. On the palate it's fresh with a great fruit/acid balance riding the line between crisp and plump. The "other local varieties" include collionara and biancolellone; more or less, they source from old mixed plantings rather than monocultured.
