Coming from the upper slopes of the Castellina region's western cascade of vineyards, nestled in a small amphitheater of stony, calcareous clay soils (marls), Castellare's wines are moderately slender with svelte tannic structures, and vivid, vibrantly juicy dark fruit tones with Sangiovese's earthy balsam accents.
