This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon is July’s Wine of the Month. Amazingly well put-together, this wine is loaded with generous fruit and stands shoulder to shoulder with wines costing much more. In fact, Wine Spectator designated Carmen a Smart Buy, ranked #32 on their TOP 100 WINES of 2015 and awarded it a score of 91 Points! Even better, we secured unbelievable pricing on this one. The regular price is $18.99, but we are able to offer it at a price of $10.99 per bottle. At more than 40% off the regular price, this wine represents a truly outstanding value.

The king of red grapes has found a great home in Carmen’s vineyards in the Maipo Valley of Chile. Carmen’s Cabernet Sauvignon shows true varietal character and displays remarkable richness, purity of fruit and a touch of old world character. This full-bodied wine has supple tannins which are very well-integrated. This top scoring Cabernet hails from vineyards in the foothills of the Andes and thrives in the Mediterranean climate. Water runoff from the melting snow provides the irrigation while the vines enjoy the warm, dry weather. Founded in 1850, Vina Carmen blends state-of-the-art technology with traditional winemaking processes to produce a wine which over-delivers.

The terrific price of this delicious Cabernet Sauvignon makes it ideal an everyday drinker. Time to stock up on this one while we have it!

Deep ruby with purple highlights, displaying nice concentration. Red and black fruits great the nose with dried cherry, currants, plum, cocoa, anise, savory herb and loamy earth. On the palate, this wine is dry and full-bodied with well-integrated tannins. The fruit character turns from dried to fresh-picked in the glass with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, red and black currants, blue plum and licorice. The finish is surprisingly long for a wine at this price point.
