The plots for this bottling face a bit more of the temperate afternoon sun (though in the shadow of La Morra's high ridge) on the relatively low ridge near the ampitheater valley of the town of Barolo.

This pretty wine embraces a classical or traditional side of Nebbiolo, keeping with the house style all the while. The tannins are fine and powdery. There is a pretty hint of sweet violet pastille or rose perfume on the close. The historical Brezza family winery goes back to 1885, and to 1910 with their first branded bottling. Based around the town of Barolo itself, their wines are traditional expressions of the subzone's elegantly-styled Barolos. Aging is in classic large (3000L), untoasted Slavonian oak barrels. The Barolos are neither filtered nor fined.
