Brandini is a small estate on Barolo's La Morra ridge, with cooler sites that offer a response to the region's rising heat levels. Purchased by Piero Bagnasco, former CEO of Fontanafredda and a co-founder of Eataly, he saw the future of Barolo through the eyes of his daughters: clean farming and traditional cellar practices, but with a finessed and precise winemaking hand. In 2018 he passed the torch to his daughters, Giovanna and Serena, and they are hitting a great stride with their latest releases!

"...sandy soils along with some of the highest sites in the Barolo commune and Brandini’s work to accentuate finesse above all makes for a unique Barolo that drinks very well young and will also age nicely, building on its youthful assets. Its fruit and flower spectrum depends greatly on the vintage and tends toward the orange and soft red fruits with some citrus notes and subtle red rose, black currant, and sweet rhubarb. Classic in Barolo expression, it leads with aromatic generosity and an enticing savory and woodsy character." - THE SOURCE IMPORTS

KERIN O'KEEFE 94 POINTS - "The 2021 Brandini Barolo del Comune di La Morra is delicious. Rounded, enveloping and nearing the start of its ideal drinking window, the palate delivers succulent raspberry, fleshy Morello cherry, ground clove and cinnamon. Taut, refined tannins provide polished support while fresh acidity keeps it balanced." Decant for an hour or so, and serve around 62-65F.
