An exceptional 18-year-old Islay single malt from the oldest licensed distillery on Islay (established 1779). Signature Bowmore distillery style shines brightly — bold and unexpectedly powerful, yet with a sweet clarity. Matured in hand-selected American oak ex-Bourbon casks and European oak Oloroso sherry casks, giving it a complex and exquisitely layered persona.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Candied oranges shrouded in delicate, fragrant peat smoke, with notes of creamy caramel, toffee, ripe nectarines, butterscotch, and menthol.
Palate: Toasted almonds and nutmeg, floral scented confectionery, yielding to fennel seeds, liquorice, dark chocolate, brittle honeycomb, maple syrup and juicy oranges.
Finish: Warm, endlessly expressive and deeply complex. A light smokiness evokes a fire, freshly rekindled on a bright morning.
Awards: Gold Award - International Spirits Challenge 2024.
