Aged in cask in the traditional Solera system within the ancient cathedral style cellars of Barbadillo, this wine is a blend of old Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez.This special ageing and blending gives this sherry its characteristic mahogany color, walnut aroma, smooth full body and sweet raisin finish.
Serve chilled, on its own as a nightcap, or as a dessert wine. A great match with Cheddar cheese.
Factoid: In the early 1900s the widow of Benigno married Pedro RodrÃguez and many of the wines adopted his name. The company name was changed to Antonio Barbadillo S.A. in 1954. During the 20th century, Barbadillo made most of their business as a Sherry producer for Harveys.
