Situated five miles from the Italian border in Slovenia's famous Vipava Valley, this 430-year-old winemaking farm is quite unique. Each of the three tiny towns that make up Miha's 19 hectares is heavily farmed naturally. The Batic family is certified as both organic and biodynamic, but they go much beyond that, practically into another realm.
Violets, cocoa, black and blue plums, black raspberry, tobacco leaf, and sweet herbs emerge from the glass, followed by juicy black cherries and a strong earthy flavor. The wine smoothly glides and dances on the palate, which is pure vitality. Excellent work.
