Winemaker Javier Arizcuren comes from a line of vine-growers and winemakers in what is now called the Rioja Oriental. The Monte Gatún bottling revives the historically large role of Garnacha in region. It's an easy-drinking fusion of old and new; aromas of herbs, blueberries, cherries, and raspberries. On the palate, it’s soft, refined, and with a ripe Garnacha finish with a vibrant character.
