A traditional arak from Fakra, one of Lebanon's most storied distilleries, rooted in Kfardebian in the Mount Lebanon range — with distilling heritage tracing to the early 18th century. Made in the classic Lebanese manner: crushed grapes are fermented and distilled three times in traditional copper pot stills (karkeh), infused with green anise, then matured in clay jars for a smooth, rounded character. Bottled at a robust 50% — the traditional strength.
Character: Bold anise with floral grape notes and a warming, gently sweet finish — softer on the palate than many araks.
Serve: The customary way — diluted with water and ice, where it turns milky-white — alongside mezze: olives, feta, and small fish.
ABV: 50% (100 Proof)
