The Antinori family of Florence is one of the world's oldest and most distinguished wine producers and has lived in Tuscany since the 14th century. They are credited with playing a big role in the modernization of Italian wine, and this Brunello is a perfect example of their style: more open and rich in mouthfeel, with a notable new oak influence that contributes chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, baking spice (vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg,...). This is crowd-pleasing luxury!
VINOUS 94 POINTS - "The 2021 Brunello di Montalcino wafts up with a pretty blend of citrus-tinged blackberries, violets and sweet spice. Textures of pure silk and cooling acidity beautifully complement racy red and black fruits. I love the momentum and purity here. It leaves a steely mineral concentration to mingle with fine tannins and inner rose tones. Year after year, Pian delle Vigne continues to improve through its graceful lift." - Eric Guido
Decant for a couple of hours before serving, or hold for a couple more years for the best experience.
