Bibiana Gonzalez Rave crafts the Alma de Cattleya wines to be high-quality offerings that represent Sonoma County. Alma means "soul" in Spanish, and Cattleya is the national flower of her native country, Columbia. Making wine meant having to leave Columbia for other climates conducive to grape growing: leaving Bibiana to recognize her country, and her passion, in making this wine.

These Chardonnay grapes were grown in cool sites in the Sonoma County AVA. All sites are located between the russian River Valley and the "true" Sonoma Coast, which is fundamental to obtain the right balance between acidity, texture, softness, and length.

This Sonoma County Chardonnay bursts with heady aromas of spiced pear, toasted vanilla bean, and red apple skin as its richly hued profile shimmers with pale lemon and youthful greenish undertones. On the palate, lively acidity flanks layered flavors of honeycrisp apple, juicy pear, and white peach, while whispers of wet stone and white flowers give added complexity.

WINE SPECTATOR 92 POINTS - "Bright, fresh and lemony up front, with notes of lemon confit and lemon curd, plus details of lemon oil and lemon balm. Crisp and fresh, but with a touch of smooth, custardy body on the frame. Shows accents of peppery white flowers and dried ginger, along with fresh apricot and papaya on the finish, where the intensity cranks up. Drink now through 2037. 775 cases made."

JEB DUNNUCK 91 POINTS - "A straw hue, the 2024 Chardonnay offers notes of hay, poached yellow apples, and vanilla, a creamy texture, vibrant acidity, salinity, and a silky clean finish. Great and approachable, it checks a lot of boxes. Drink it now or over the coming 3-5 years. Drink 2026-2031."
