This historic estate's Barbera vines are in the Barolo region's Bussia Soprana district. With brief fermentation in stainless steel, followed by oak aging for a few months, it's a Barbera that combines power, both in structure and fruit, with an elegant, lithe quality in the tannins and aromas. This will only get better with a few years of bottle age!
JAMES SUCKLING 94 POINTS - "A restrained barbera with aromas of citrus, red currants, cinnamon, red cherries and touches of smoke, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied with supple fruit, a dense palate, velvety tannins and crisp, precise acidity. Warming yet balanced chocolaty finish. Drink or hold."
