STUART PIGOTT - 95 POINTS Somewhat restrained on the nose, but then: ripe yellow fruit, a fresh touch of acidity, all remaining very elegant. An exemplary Kabinett. (8%ABV)
MOSEL FINE WINES - 92 POINTS The 2025 Hofberg Kabinett, as it is referred to on the front label, was made from the backside of the hill and was fermented in stainless steel tank down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (48 g/l). It delivers a beautifully complex and very elegant nose of vineyard peach, smoke, orange blossom, almond, lime tree, thyme, and fine spices. The wine proves quite compact and energetic on the palate, with intense notes of riper fruits wrapped in undercooled yet ripe acidity. The finish is very long and proves slightly lighter in style. This is a splendid Kabinett.
JANCIS ROBINSON - 16.5++ (OUT OF 20) POINTS Vivid squeezed-lime fruit, honey, jasmine and slate. The acid must be high because the sugar doesn’t seem to be, leaving that uncanny, magic balance on the palate. Who knows how long this will last? That fruit isn’t going anywhere for a good while. Richard Hemming MW Alcohol: 8%
