Just as Hong Kong is a gateway to China, HKB is a gateway to baijiu. Currently launching in the U.S., Italy, France, and the U.K., HKB is the brainchild of
Charles Lanthier, a Frenchman who lived in China for several years. Like
many expats, Charles had a bad first experience with baijiu... but he saw
huge potential for the spirit. He quit a successful international management
career to pursue this vision full time, visiting more than 15 Chinese distilleries to find one that offered the qualities he was looking for in a baijiu;
Charles found an excellent partner in Sichuan province, which is known for
creating the best baijius.
HKB is excellent in modern or classic cocktails and leading mixologists also
offer it in mixed shots, long drinks, and straight shots.
